Watching anime with your friends and family is one of the most enjoyable things in life, but that isn’t always the case, especially with the ones on this list. These anime go above and beyond with their antics, and if you don’t want to be a social outcast and enjoy being treated as a loser, you should never admit to watching them.
Before we begin, a word of caution: as an adult, you should know better and avoid watching these. However, before you do so, CLOSE YOUR DAMN DOORS. Thank you kindly.
So, without further ado, here are ten anime that you should never watch alone, let alone with your parents, and God help the Coomers who do.
10. Kiss x Sis
Kiss x Sis is the story of Keita Suminoe, a third-year Japanese high school student who lives with his father and his older twin step-sisters, Ako and Riko. Keita is embarrassed and conflicted by the twins’ declarations of love and advances, especially because he knows acting on their feelings would be considered incestuous. Despite this, the three siblings find themselves in a polyamorous relationship.
Kiss x Sis premiered on television in 2010, with 12 episodes on TV and 12 episodes on OVA. To be honest, I’m not sure what’s going on here.
9. Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia
Kizuna Hida is a final-year high school student whose older sister unexpectedly calls him to transfer to a strategic defence school where many of the students (many of whom are girls with massive honkers) use their Heart Hybrid Gear abilities to fight invaders from another world while wearing extremely skimpy pilot outfits… And it appears that the girls can recharge or power up by having erotic experiences with Kizuna.
Kizuna is initially skeptical, but the prospect of piloting the powerful mech and defending his home from invading forces from another world quickly persuades him.
Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia first aired in 2016 and has 12 episodes.
The protagonists of Oreimo are high school student Kyousuke Kousaka and his younger sister Kirino. Kyousuke is estranged from his sister and finds her annoying on a regular basis. He begins to understand her better when he discovers she is a secret otaku with a large collection of anime and manga. The two siblings form a close bond as they discuss their common interests. The show follows their day-to-day lives as they deal with the challenges of being an otaku.
Oreimo’s anime adaptation had two endings, which diverged after episode 11 (the “good end” vs the “true end”).
I’m telling you, it’s strange, really strange.
7. Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory
Koushi Nagumo’s life is turned upside down when his father abandons him after their house burns down. Koushi collapses after being abandoned on the street, but an eccentric woman named Mineru Wachi takes pity on him and takes him to the female dormitory “Goddess’ Dormitory.”
After learning about Koushi’s situation, Mineru, the temporary manager, invites him to become the official dormitory mother of Goddess’ Dormitory. The dorm residents, on the other hand, await him, each with their own bizarre antics, such as the androphobic yet gentle Atena Saotome, the feminine tomboy Kiriya Senshou, and Mineru herself, whose scientific recklessness knows no bounds. Despite this, Koushi strives to fulfil the responsibilities of his crazy new life!
Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory debuted in 2021 and has ten episodes.
6. Eromanga Sensei
Sagiri and Masamune Izumi became step-siblings a year ago. Their new family is shattered, however, when their parents die unexpectedly, forcing Sagiri to become a shut-in, isolating her from her brother and society.
Masamune supports his remaining family members by working as a published light novel author. The only problem is that he’s never met his acclaimed illustrator, Eromanga-sensei, who specialises in drawing the most obscene erotica. After an embarrassing series of events, he discovers that his very own little sister was his partner the entire time!
Eromanga Sensei debuted in 2017 and consists of 12 episodes plus two OVA episodes.
5. Domestic Girlfriend
Domestic Girlfriend follows Natsuo Fujii, a high school student who has developed feelings for his teacher, Hina. Natsuo goes to a mixer to distract himself from this unattainable desire. He meets Rui, a girl who shares his apathy, there. Rui invites Natsuo to her house and invites him to play boom boom with her, hoping that the experience will prevent her friends from treating her like a naive child. Natsuo reluctantly agrees while his hopeless feelings for Hina are still fresh in his mind.
They decide to part ways as strangers because they are dissatisfied with their “first times.” Natsuo’s father, on the other hand, drops a major surprise: he is remarrying, and his new wife, Tsukiko Tachibana, is on her way to meet Natsuo right now. As if that weren’t shocking enough, her daughters—and thus Natsuo’s new sisters—are Hina and Rui Tachibana, the woman he adores and the girl with whom he spent his first night. As his eyes are opened to a darker side of love, Natsuo must confront his feelings for his step-siblings.
I don’t think there’s anything else I can say about this one. Domestic Girlfriend is simply a bad p*rn video.
Domestic Girlfriend premiered in 2019 and has a total of 12 episodes.
4. Yosuga no Sora
The parents of Haruka and Sora Kasugano were killed in a tragic accident. They begin again, returning to their childhood home and relocating to the rural, quaint town they left four years ago.
Returning to such a nostalgic location, on the other hand, entails recalling all of their shared memories, whether they brought them joy or pain. As their lives are gradually influenced by various acts of love, friendship, envy—and perhaps even lust—Haruka and Sora’s story becomes increasingly complicated.
Do yourself a favour and avoid watching this one. DON’T WATCH YOSUGA NO SORA FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!
Yosuga no Sora first aired in 2010 and has 12 Episodes.
3. Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World
Michio Kaga, a high school student, attempts to launch a strange online game he discovered while surfing the internet one day. Instead, he is transported to the world of the game and is given special abilities as well as a powerful sword. After gathering his thoughts, he finds himself fighting bandits and quickly realises that he cannot log out. Michio accepts his fate and sets out on a journey to enjoy his new life, conquer dungeons for money, and build a harem to fulfil all his manly desires.
This is basically just a H3ntai.
Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World first aired in 2022 and has 12 Episodes.
2. High School DxD
High school student Issei Hyoudou is your typical pervert, spending his days peeping on women and fantasising about one day having his own harem. When a beautiful girl asks Issei out on a date, things appear to be looking up for him, but she turns out to be a fallen angel who brutally kills him!
Rias Gremory, a beautiful senior student and top-class devil, resurrects him as her servant and recruits Issei into the school’s Occult Research club, giving him a second chance at life.
Most of you have most likely seen or heard of High School DxD.
High School DxD debuted in 2012 and has four seasons, each with 12 episodes and five OVA episodes.
1. The Testament of Sister New Devil
Basara Toujou learns the hard way that bumping into your new stepsister in the restroom does not make for a good first impression. When his father unexpectedly brings home two beautiful girls and introduces them as his new siblings, he is forced to accept the Naruse sisters, busty redhead Mio and petite silver-haired Maria, into his family.
Basara is forced to reveal himself as a former member of a clan of “Heroes,” sworn enemies of the demons, when these seemingly normal girls reveal themselves as demons—Mio, the former Demon Lord’s only daughter, and Maria, her trusted succubus servant. Basara, on the other hand, has begun to care for his new sisters and decides to use his powers to protect them, signing a master-servant contract with Mio to keep an eye on her.
Basara must do the impossible to protect his new family members, with the Heroes watching his every move and the constant threat of hostile demons. Furthermore, the protector is concealing his own dark secret, which is still haunting him…
