“Asta and Yuno were abandoned at the same church and have been inseparable ever since.” They promised as children that they would compete to see who would become the next Emperor Magus. While Yuno can wield Magic with incredible power and control, Asta is unable to use Magic at all and desperately tries to awaken his powers through physical training.”

If you’re looking for anime that’s similar to Black Clover, with an adventure-shonen theme, intense battles, friendly rivalry, and a lot of fun, then this list is for you.

Best Anime like Black Clover!

13. Full Metal Alchemist

Full Metal Alchemist

When a failed alchemical ritual leaves brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric with severely damaged bodies, they begin their search for the fabled philosopher’s stone.

Both anime protagonists have exceptional abilities and powers, as well as excellent fighting/action scenes, comedy, and tragedy. Both anime’s characters have a goal that they are striving for with a never-say-die attitude.

12. The Seven Deadly Sins

The Seven Deadly Sins

The Holy Knights of Britannia are said to use extremely powerful magic to protect Britannia and its kingdoms. However, they staged a coup and became the new, tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of Liones.

However, a small group of Knights allegedly betrayed their homeland and turned their swords against their comrades in an attempt to overthrow Liones’ ruler. They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumours persisted that these legendary knights, known as the “Seven Deadly Sins,” were still alive.

Both series take place in worlds full of magic and fantasy. Both main characters have Demon ancestors and are Knights. The main character and his best friend have a rivalry. Both main characters appear to be small.

11. Hunter x Hunter

Hunter x Hunter

Set in a world where Hunters perform tasks such as capturing criminals and searching for lost treasures. Gon Freecss is determined to become the best Hunter he can in order to track down his father, who abandoned his young son.

However, Gon quickly realises that the path to his goals is far more difficult than he could have imagined.

The first similarity is that they are both shounen, have Magic, a powerful main character, and both have over 100 episodes.

Both series have incredibly supportive friends who never give up; both animes have dark undertones and take place in vast, complex worlds.

They must overcome numerous evil villains and obstacles; they both come from small villages, have family abandonment issues, and powerful teachers.

10. Berserk

Berserk

Berserk is the story of a former mercenary known as guts or the Black Swordsman. He’s on a quest to find someone he can trust and respect, only to be betrayed.

It is set in mediaeval fantasy times, but it depicts themes such as vengeance, betrayal, trust, and a thirst for blood. Guts Taking up the monstrous blade Dragonslayer, he vows to exact vengeance on the perpetrator, hunting down the very man he once looked up to and considered a friend.

Both series take place in fantasy worlds populated by Knights and utilising magic. Both main characters are demon-related and wield a massive sword. Both main characters are rivals to their best friend, but in Berserk, it’s more like hatred, despite the fact that they are related through their past.

9. Demon Slayer

Demon Slayer

Tanjirou returns home one day to discover that his entire family has been slaughtered, with the exception of his little sister Nezuko, who has also been transformed into a demon.

Tanjirou swears to exterminate all demons and heal his sister. He begins his journey and trains diligently to become a demon slayer. Tanjirou is a good kid despite his desire for vengeance for his family’s murder. He is so kind that he even has mercy on demons.

Both are battle shounen with similar fast pacing, so if you enjoy one of them for that reason, you’ll enjoy the other as well.

8. Ace of Diamond

Ace of Diamond

Eijun Sawamura was disappointed when he lost his final middle school baseball game. But his fate was about to change when he was unexpectedly invited to Tokyo’s prestigious Seidou High School after his pitching style was recognised.

Eijun accepts the offer and is excited to improve his skills and play at a higher level for his new team. However, because his team now has highly skilled players, he is struggling to find his place on the team.

He declared that he would be the team’s ace if fellow first-year Satoru Furuya didn’t take the title first, with his breakneck fastballs earning him a coveted spot on the starting roster like Asashi in Haikyu.

The Seidou baseball team must contend with several formidable opponents as they strive to become the best in Japan. In terms of world setting, they are unrelated, but the main characters are similar.

7. Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen

Jujutsu Kaisen is a futuristic anime. It’s the story of a teen who joined his school’s occult club for fun. He discovers a cursed object that alters his life.

He finds himself fighting curses and hosting ‘Sukuna,’ the most powerful and king of curses. His goal is to protect his friends until the king of curses is executed. He also wants to know the best way to die.

Both are Action Shonen about a young boy who is an orphan and has a Demon inside him. Quite often, you see them lose control, and their friends help them regain control.

6. Haikyuu!

Haikyuu!

Haikyu!! tells the story of the entire team, their individual struggles, their disagreements, and their desire to outperform but not leave each other behind.

Their voice actors did an excellent job; there were no skippable openings, and what amazes me is that even opponents and side characters have backstories. Haikyu!! It is a family-friendly anime. It has everything a story needs: comedy, sad moments, struggles, defeat, success, progress, teamwork, and everything else.

Both protagonists want to be the best at something (one wants to be a little giant, the other a wizard king), but are held back by something. Both are Baka (dull) and have a side character who assists the emcee in pushing his limits.

5. My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia

My Hero Academia is the story of Deku, who has no quirks in a world full of superheroes. When he met All Might, the world’s strongest hero, his life was forever changed.

He became his student and began to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a superhero. He begins as the world’s strongest superhero’s heir.

Both anime depict the story of a boy who aspires to be the strongest and most powerful. Both are battle shonen who care about their friends. One aspires to be the greatest hero in the world, while the other aspires to be the Wizard King.

4. Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail

Natsu Dragneel, a dragon slayer who works alongside his friend Happy, is looking for his foster father. He is a member of the Fairy Tail Guild. Natsu will go to any length for his friends, and his ultimate goal is to complete a 100-year quest, the most difficult level of difficulty that a wizard can achieve.

Both series are about friendship and follow the same “never give up” motto. The main character is a member of a guild squad with many people who are very different from one another.

Both shows revolve around the themes of “I will do anything to protect my friends” and “everyone can understand each other.” Friendship, rivalry, brawls, and life-or-death battles Both feature wizards, insane action scenes, and numerous plot twists.

Despite the fact that Natsu was eventually assigned a 100-year quest, it was never animated. However, it has been announced that it will be soon.

3. One Piece

One Piece

The death of the Pirate King signalled the beginning of the great pirate era. And then, 20 years later, the unusual pirate Monkey D. Luffy appears. His goal is not to pillage and murder people.

He aspires to become the Pirate King by discovering One Piece, the great treasure left behind by the pirate king himself. He enjoys adventure and making new friends along the way.

Both MCs are idiots with similar ambitions to become kings. They refuse to give up, regardless of their circumstances. Both animes revolve around friendship and rivalry. Both MCs have extraordinary abilities.

You’ll fall in love with this anime, even if some people think it’s too long, which it is, but once you know the story, it’s not that long. This series should never end (at least, not in my opinion).

2. Bleach

Bleach

Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student, meets Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper who is injured while protecting Ichigo’s family from an assailant. Ichigo accepts Rukia’s offer to take her powers in order to save his family, and as a result, he becomes a Soul Reaper.

There are numerous parallels to be found. You can find them if you keep an eye out for them. Bleach inspired the creator of black clover to create this series.

Although this series has already concluded and has been for some time, it was announced that the final arc would be animated.

1. Naruto

 Naruto

Naruto was having difficulty finding his place in his village. Everyone avoided him because of a hidden secret within him. He is a knucklehead ninja who wants to be Hokage, the most important person in the village, and to be recognised by everyone.

Both are Action Shonen, made by the same studio, about a young boy who wears a headband and both Emcees are Orphans with a Demon living inside of them, both main characters want to be the king in their respective worlds.

Naruto concluded on a high note. He fulfilled his dream by marrying and having children. If you want to learn more about his life, watch Boruto – Naruto Next Generations. After all, it is a similar anime to Black Clover.

Conclusive Thoughts!

So these were some of the anime that I felt were the most similar to Black Clover in some ways. If you want to watch anime that is similar to Black Clover in terms of storyline, villains, powers, and so on, these are must-sees.
