Best Anime Where the MC is a God/Overpowered
Ishiyama High School is a delinquent-dominated institution where constant violence and disorder are the norm. However, there is one unwritten rule: don’t cross first-year student Tatsumi Oga, Ishiyama’s most lethal fighter.
One day, Oga is walking along a riverbed when he comes across a man drifting down the river. After being picked up by Oga, the guy splits down the middle, revealing a baby who crawls onto Oga’s back and immediately bonds with him. Though he is unaware, this infant is named Kaiser de Emperana Beelzebub IV, or simply “Baby Beel”—the Demon Lord’s son!
As if discovering the future Lord of the Underworld wasn’t enough, Oga is confronted by Hildegard, Beel’s demon maid. They try to raise Baby Beel together, but being surrounded by juvenile delinquents and demonic powers may pose a greater challenge than they realise.
The gods of the world are not myths or legends. They exist, unseen by humanity, waging war and destroying land and life. People regard such “Heretic Gods'” battles as incomprehensible natural disasters from which they cannot escape.
Godou Kusanagi, a sixteen-year-old high school student, travels to Italy at his grandfather’s request to return a certain tablet to a friend for safekeeping. Godou does not expect to be drawn into a battle between two Heretic Gods alongside Erica Blandelli, a self-proclaimed witch fighting to protect humans. Fortunately, he kills the god of war and becomes a “Campione”—or “God Slayer”—tasked with fighting Heretic Gods in order to redeem humanity.
Godou’s new status as a Campione attracts a slew of Gods eager to fight him, as well as a swarm of fanatical followers—mostly women—willing to help him in his battles. Campione!: Matsurowanu Kamigami to Kamigoroshi no Maou follows Godou as he battles battling deities in a Heaven-Earth battle.
8. Kamisama Kiss
Nanami Momozono, a high school student, has been dealing with a slew of problems lately, beginning with her absentee father being so deeply in debt that they have lost everything. She comes across a man who is being bullied by a dog while he is destitute and homeless. She explains her situation after assisting him, and to her surprise, he offers her his home in gratitude. When she realises her home is a dilapidated shrine, she tries to flee but is apprehended by two shrine spirits and a fox familiar named Tomoe. They mistake her for Mikage, the shrine’s land god, whom Nanami rescued. After realising Mikage must have placed her there as a replacement deity, Tomoe flees, refusing to serve a human.
Nanami devotes herself to her spiritual responsibilities rather than returning to the streets. But, in order to keep things running smoothly, she’ll need the help of a certain fiery fox. In her bumbling attempt to find Tomoe, she gets herself into trouble and eventually signs a contract with him. Now that the two are god and familiar, they must travel the path of godhood together; however, it will not be easy, as new obstacles emerge in the form of a youkai who wants to consume the girl, a snake who wants to marry her, and Nanami’s own unexpected feelings for her new familiar.
7. Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
In the bustling city of Orario, life is never dull, especially for Bell Cranel, a naive young man who aspires to be the best adventurer in the region. After a chance meeting with the lonely goddess Hestia, his dreams become a little more real. Bell embarks on a fantastic adventure with her assistance, venturing deep beneath the city’s monster-infested dungeons known only as the “Dungeon.” Death lurks around every corner in the vast depths of this terrifying labyrinth, and a mysterious power glides among the shadows.
Surviving is a hard-won privilege, even on the surface. In a world where gods and humans coexist, especially when they frequently clash, nothing is ever guaranteed. But one thing is certain: the fearlessly optimistic protagonist of this fantastic story will face a slew of failures, successes, and friendships.
6. One Punch Man

Genos suggests that the two join the Hero Association to become certified heroes and be recognised for their outstanding contributions to society. Saitama quickly agrees, surprised that no one knows who he is. 4. Mob Psycho 100
Season 3 is coming out in October 2022
Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama, an eighth-grader, has discovered his natural psychic ability at a young age. However, when he realises the potential danger in his abilities, the power quickly becomes a disadvantage. Mob’s main current goal with his gift is to dazzle his long-time crush, Tsubomi, who quickly grows tired of the same tricks.
In order to gain control over his abilities, Mob enlists under the wing of Arataka Reigen, a scam artist claiming to be a psychic who exploits Mob’s gifts for pocket change. Mob’s routine now includes exorcising evil spirits on command. His psychic energy, however, is only the tip of the iceberg; if his enormous potential and unbridled emotions go insane, a cataclysmic event will occur that will render him completely unrecognisable. Attempting to put a stop to the Mob’s detonation is futile.
3. The Daily Life of the Immortal King
Wang Ling is a nearly invincible being with abilities far beyond his control as a cultivating genius who has gained a new domain every two years since the age of a year. But now that he’s sixteen, he’s about to face his most difficult challenge yet: Senior High School. With one setback after another, his hopes for a low-key high school existence appear to be fading…
The characters in this anime are decent, and the audio is… strange at best, as it’s often not really ambient, which Japanese anime seem to do a much better job of, but the animations are too beautiful, with some scenes looking specifically like they’re from a movie. Overall, it’s a pretty good anime that you should definitely check out.
2. The Misfit of Demon King Academy
A long time ago, a war between humans and demons caused widespread chaos and bloodshed. Demon King Anos Voldigoad willingly sacrificed his life to end this seemingly endless conflict, hoping to be reborn in a peaceful future.
In preparation for Anos’ reawakening, the demons established the Demon King Academy, an exclusive institution tasked with determining Anos’ identity. He reincarnates two millennia later, only to find that the world’s magical resources have dwindled dramatically during his absence. Furthermore, when he enrols at the academy to reclaim his rightful position, he discovers that demonkind remembers him differently. His personality, actions, and even legacy have all been fabricated—all hidden behind the mask of an impostor. He is the academy’s outlier—a misfit never seen before in history—because of this “lack” of common knowledge.
Despite these disadvantages, Anos remains unfazed. He takes it upon himself to convince his descendants that their monarch has finally returned as he sets out to find people who are changing his great past.
In times of need, if you look in the right place, you might find an unusual phone number written in red. When you dial this number, you will be greeted by a young man who introduces himself as the Yato God.
Yato is a minor god and self-proclaimed “Delivery God” who wishes to be worshipped by millions of people. His ambitions, however, are unlikely to be realised without a single shrine dedicated to his name. He spends his days doing odd jobs for five yen until his weapon partner tyres of her useless master and abandons him.
Just as things appear to be going south for the god, Hiyori Iki, a middle school girl, allegedly saves Yato from a car accident by absorbing the impact for him. She survives, but the incident causes her spirit to become loose, allowing it to leave her body. Hiyori demands that Yato return her to normalcy, but when she learns that he will need to find a new partner, she reluctantly agrees to help him find one. Yato’s fortunes may be changing with Hiyori’s help.
