Although it is true that love takes a reasonable amount of time to blossom between a couple, this is not always the case. Sometimes you don’t need to watch 20 episodes to see your crush kiss or hug you.
Romance anime movies can move you in as little as an hour and a half, or as much as 20 long episodic series. So, which are the greatest romance anime films of all time? We’ll make some delightful recommendations in this article.
Best Romance Anime Movies List!
15. Voices of a Distant Star
Despite her desire to live a normal life with her friends and her love Noboru, Nagamime joins the galactic army to fight an alien war. Now she travels far into space, where a single email could take up to eight years to arrive.

It doesn’t work on her school’s idol, Haruka, who is caught sneaking a peek under her skirt. Despite the odds, these two girls develop a beautiful relationship.
This list wouldn’t be complete without a yuri anime film. Fragtime shifts the focus of the story away from her ability and toward their relationship.
It contains numerous adorable moments and emotions for a one-hour film. If you’re looking for a lovely lesbian romance anime film, check out this one.
13. 5 Centimeters Per Second

This one-hour journey can be classified as a romantic drama, but its depiction is not typical of anime. It feels unique and has the potential to elicit a wide range of emotions by being completely realistic to people’s lives. A beautifully crafted film that you must see if you enjoy sad romance anime films.
12. Hello World

The Levamme Empire and the Amatsukami Imperium have been at odds for many years. To end the war in a year, the prince of Levamme declared his love for Juana del. Amatsukami, on the other hand, decides to target Juana’s life, and as a last ditch effort, they hire a mercenary to save her.
Although this story appears to follow a similar path to other romance anime films, you are mistaken. It’s not at all what we expected, and we loved the ending.
The animation is stunning, and it perfectly complements MADHOUSE’s efforts in the 2010s. If you’re looking for a simple anime film, this is a great choice.
10. A Whisker Away
Miyo Sasaki is unable to express her feelings to her crush Kento because of family issues. When she transforms into a cat, she becomes more involved in his life. Will she remain the cat and help him with his life, or will she reveal who she truly is and risk losing everything she has now?
There are two aspects of this anime that we cannot help but admire: the story and the animation. The animation, in particular, brings the anime to life, and the chemistry between the characters is simply breathtaking. This is the story for you if you want an emotional and cute love story.
9. The Garden of Words

7. The Wind Rises
After being inspired by the aesthetics and freedom of flying, Jiro Horiskoshi dedicated his life to building a beautiful aircraft. However, when he designed the Mitsubishi A6M Zero plane, he never imagined it would be used in a war.

6. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

This bittersweet anime tells a beautifully depicted story. Despite the fact that it is a sci-fi anime with a time travel concept, its main focus is on friendship, love, and relationships. Every aspect was worth seeing, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat at all times.
Rihito is an excellent student with high grades, whereas Kusakabe enjoys playing guitar in his band and performing live events. They happen to cross paths one day to talk about the upcoming chorus festival, and who would have guessed that would be the start of their lovely relationship?

3. I Want to Eat Your Pancreas
The protagonist discovers a diary in a hospital and learns that his classmate Sakura is suffering from a terminal illness that no one knows about except him and her family. Despite his polar opposite personality, he decides to spend her final moments with her.
Although some people compare this film to Your Lie in April after reading the synopsis, it felt very different. Despite the fact that the two main characters have issues, their chemistry works really well.
Despite the fact that it takes them down the path of developing and understanding themselves, the romance ignited like a branch in the wind. Overall, a lovely romance anime film with an emotional undercurrent.
