When it comes to live-action movies, Marvel is the most popular superhero franchise. Although you can’t say the same for animated movies because DC outnumbers them in both quality and quantity, the majority of them are enjoyable to watch.

So, how do you watch all of Marvel’s animated films in chronological order? If you’re just getting started with Marvel animated movies, this list may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Marvel Animated Movies in Order!

1. The Invincible Iron Man (2007)

The Invincible Iron Man (2007)

As grand as the title suggests, this film is not a faithful adaptation of the comics and takes a completely different path with the plot. Similar to the live-action Iron Man film, Tony Stark is captured by enemy forces and fights back by inventing a superhero suit.

2. Thor: Tales of Asgard (2011)

Thor: Tales of Asgard (2011)

Although we’ve seen enough of Thor’s adventures in his individual films, if you can’t get enough of them, this film is perfect for you to see a young and aggressive Thor. Discover what happens when Thor and his younger brother Loki set out on a quest to reclaim a legendary sword.

3. Planet Hulk (2010)

Planet Hulk (2010)

Have you ever seen the Hulk go on a rampage on another planet? Of course, we’ve all seen him fight Thor in Ragnarok and Surtur in Asgard. Planet Hulk, on the other hand, allows you to discover the true Hulk and what he is capable of. It’s a great movie to watch if you’ve seen Hulk vs.

4. Ultimate Avengers The Movie (2006)

Ultimate Avengers The Movie (2006)

Ultimate Avengers is said to be Marvel Studios’ first great effort in the animation department, and it provides just enough entertainment for newcomers. It gathers all of the superheroes from the first Avengers film to fight an alien threat hellbent on destroying America.

5. Ultimate Avengers II (2006)

Ultimate Avengers II (2006)

The sequel to the first Ultimate Avengers film, it focuses on character development and introduces the Wakanda kingdom. It is sure to please you when combined with nice little surprises and fantastic animation.

6. Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow (2008)

Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow (2008)

Consider a world without the Avengers, where constant threats threaten human safety. Fear not, the Avengers’ children have been honing their abilities in order to combat these evil beings and drive them off the planet. Next Avengers gives you a new sense of action, with some good action scenes and good animation.

7. Iron Man: Rise of Technovore (2013)

Iron Man: Rise of Technovore (2013)

It is not one of the best Marvel animated movies, but it is one of the studio’s most effortful films. It is unrelated to the first Iron Man film and follows Tony Stark as he attempts to clear his name after being falsely accused by a technological terrorist.

8. Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher (2014)

Avengers Confidential: Black Widow and Punisher (2014)

Iron Man: Rise of Technovore is more of a loose sequel to Avengers Confidential. It focuses primarily on Black Widow and Punisher, and while it has some good action scenes, it falls short in other areas. Although it is nowhere near the mediocrity of DC animated films, it is worth a shot.

9. Hulk Vs. (2009)

 Hulk Vs. (2009)

Hulk Vs. is anything but ordinary, and Marvel did an excellent job of presenting it. Unlike most live-action movies and comic-book spinoffs, we see Hulk clashing with Wolverine and Thor. If you enjoy watching Marvel animated movies, you cannot afford to miss this one.

10. Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United (2013)

Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United (2013)

Although this is one of Marvel’s worst animated films, it is still included in the list of Marvel animated films in order because you can watch it if you don’t have anything else to do. It is a stand-alone film, like many others on the list.

11. Iron Man & Captain America: Heroes United (2014)

Iron Man & Captain America: Heroes United (2014)

It features a clash between these two and Red Skull and his triggerman, bringing together the most beloved duo from the Avengers. It may not compete with the top Marvel movies, but it is a step up from the previous Heroes United film.

12. Doctor Strange (2007)

Doctor Strange (2007)

Doctor Strange has not been heard of, whether in comics or live action, and it was brought to life in the animation category in 2007. A paralysed doctor travels to Tibet only to discover his true destiny as a sorcerer. If you’re a fan of Doctor Strange from the live-action films, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

13. Marvel Superhero Adventures: Frost Fight (2014)

Marvel Superhero Adventures: Frost Fight (2014)

Marvel Superhero Adventures demonstrates why cartoons are deemed appropriate for children. If you try to understand the movie by using logic and pointing out flaws, you might not enjoy it as much, but if you just watch it to pass the time, you can have a good time.

14. Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell (2016)

Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell (2016)

Following a string of flops, Marvel released a fun and watchable film in 2016. It has a good premise and pairs two unusual heroes, Dr. Strange and Hulk. Monster action has always been a staple of the Marvel universe, and this film nails it. It’s well-animated and makes you want to see more films like it.

15. Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors (2018)

Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors (2018)

Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors is a surprisingly good film with a completely different demographic setting and cast of characters. It is completely unrelated to the previous Marvel animated films, but it is based on the upcoming multiverse concept.

16. Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse (2018)

Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse (2018)
