Season 3 of Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest is in the works, with Season 2 director Akira Iwanaga, series composer and scriptwriter Shouichi Satou, and character designer and chief animation director Chika Kojima reprising their respective roles.
Asread is credited as the sole animation production studio this time, rather than sharing credits with White Fox (Season 1) or Studio Mother (Season 2). A trailer and visual featuring Hajime and Yue have been released as part of the announcement.
Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest is based on Ryou Shirakome’s light novels, with illustrations by Takaya-ki. The anime’s first season, directed by the late Kinji Yoshimoto, aired in 2019. This year saw the premiere of the second season.

Seven Seas Entertainment describes the light novels as:
When a class of students is transported to another world to serve as its saviours, Hajime Nagumo discovers that he is the weakest link. Because his classmates and friends are given strong classes and impressive abilities due to their pre-existing abilities, he is given the meagre title of Synergist. When he is separated from his group during a dungeon quest, Hajime must discover his own talents or be left to rot in this world forever.
The Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest light novel series, which has spawned a prequel, a short story anthology, a manga adaptation by RoGa, and spin-offs, is published by the Overlap Bunko label. The story began in 2013 with the publication of a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou, and the light novels followed in 2015. Twelve volumes had been published as of January 2022.
