One Piece is one of the longest-running series, having completed more than a dozen arcs, 1030 chapters, and 1000 episodes. The author of one piece, Eiichiro Oda, claims that we are nearing the end. Only a few One Piece arcs remain before the series concludes.

We chose a few arcs from among the many breathtaking arcs. We thought these would be the best One Piece arcs. They made the One Piece storyline so enjoyable that we still enjoy the series.

Best One Piece Arcs Ranked!

10. Alabasta

Alabasta

With anticipation building since the Whiskey Peak arc, Alabasta is the first major arc after entering Grand Line. This arc introduced the first warlord, and we learned a lot about the one piece world from it, including the void history and the existence of poneglyph.

The Straw Hats fought the Warlord Crocodile to aid their friend Vivi. He was the first person to defeat Luffy in combat.

After defeating him and his organisation, Luffy demonstrated to the world government how dangerous he would be in the future. Following this, the government increased Luffy’s bounty to 100 million berries.

9. Thriller Bark

Thriller Bark

Thriller Bark is one of the most underrated and hilarious One Piece Arcs. This arc has it all: zombies, mythical creatures, and a warlord with shadow control.

Straw hats not only got to fight another sea warlord, but they also got to see mythical creatures like Oars, who were thought to have died a long time ago. And, most importantly, we found our crew musician, Brook- The Soul King.

The most important thing was that we got to see a setup for many future arcs to come as well as an introduction to many future straw hat enemies.

We also got to see zombies of some of One Piece’s legendary characters. Also, the most important aspect of this arc, namely, “nothing happened.” (Think of it in Zoro’s voice.)

8. Zou Island

Zou Island

The Zou Arc immediately follows the Dressrosa Arc. The Zou Island arc is short and lacks many hardcore fighting scenes, but it is an important setup arc for the future of One Piece World.

It reveals far too many past stories, as well as why Kinemon is gathering allies and straw hats in order to discover red poneglyph, which would be a significant step toward their goal of achieving One Piece.

The Zou arc primarily sets up the next two arcs, Whole Cake Island and Wano Kuni. Luffy decides to go rescue Sanji from Big Mom and send his friends to Wano.

The Minks tribe was introduced in this arc, and the “Pirate-Ninja-Mink-Samurai” alliance was formed. Luffy sets out to save Sanji and obtain a duplicate of Big Mom’s other poneglyphs.

7. Skypiea

Skypiea

The Skypiea arc is one of the series’ most underappreciated. Some even consider it a One Piece filler arc. But it isn’t; it’s an arc that tells the story of an ancient civilization and its history. We even got to see a poneglyph with the inscription “Pirate King Gol D. Roger” on it.

Arc follows a maniac who proclaims himself to be a god and wishes to conquer the world. Straw hats on an adventure to find a sky Island ended up here and got into trouble with the god himself.

By the end of this arc, we also learn the identity of ancient weapons. This arc builds anticipation for the upcoming arcs.

6. Impel Down

Impel Down

Impel Down is one of the One Piece story arcs that depicts the worst aspects of world government. and an impenetrable prison, which Luffy infiltrates and escapes from in order to save his brother Ace from execution.

Luffy dealt a fatal blow to the world government after entering and escaping the world’s most powerful prison. Throughout the arc, Luffy encounters old friends like Mr. 2, Bon Clay, and enemies like Captain Buggy.

He also gains new allies such as Jimbe, who will later join the straw hats crew, and Ivankov, the commanding officer of Luffy’s father’s revolutionary army.

He even found Crocodile and made him his ally before escaping Impel Down with his help.

5. Wholecake Island

Wholecake Island

This was a crucial arc for Luffy because he had to fight some insane enemies. He had to defeat two of Big Mom’s top pirate generals. While fighting these insanely skilled opponents, Luff had to hone his skills.

This arc also reveals Sanji’s backstory and why he is the way he is. The main goal of this One Piece story arc is to save Sanji and steal poneglyphs from Big Mom.

This arc established Luffy as a household name in the One Piece universe, so much so that he is referred to as the “fifth yonko of the sea.” While Luffy was fighting and honing his skills, Sanji had to demonstrate his culinary abilities and decide where he belonged.

4. Wano

Wano

The current ongoing arc, namely the Wano Country arc, is currently the longest-running arc in One Piece. Luffy made the decision to take on Kaido and Big Mom with the assistance of minks and samurai.

The arc will not only feature incredible fights, but there is a good chance that many secrets will be revealed as well. Straw hats will have to strengthen as well.

According to the manga, Luffy has already been defeated by Kaido twice and is attempting a third time. Finally, they will not only defeat Kaido, but they may also obtain a copy of Kaido’s poneglyhs.

We can’t say much because it’s still ongoing, but we know it’ll go down as one of the best One Piece story arcs ever. After this arc, Luffy will be a stronger contender for the pirate king’s throne.

3. Dressrosa

Dressrosa

This was the first significant challenge for straw hats after they arrived in the New World. This arc introduces the new Admiral of the Navy, Fujitora, as well as the history of Law and Doflamingo.

Dressrosa also reveals Doflamingo’s influence. In the end, Luffy built a massive fleet of over 5000 soldiers without even wanting one.

They both arrive at Dressrosa after joining forces with Law. To demolish the smile factory and destroy Doflamingo’s relationship with Kaido.

This arc not only reveals secrets, but it also allows Luffy to meet his long-lost brother Sabo. In addition, we got to see Gear 4 Bounce Man in Dressrosa.

2. Enies Lobby

Enies Lobby

It is by far the best pre-time skip arc of all the One Piece story arcs. The mission of Robin and the straw hats was to save her from the world government.

We discovered Robin’s backstory and the crew’s genuine bonds. It’s not just another arc in One Piece; it demonstrates how far Straw Hats are willing to go for their dreams and friends.

They declared war on the world by burning the flag of the World Government. In addition, Luffy received his first power-ups in this arc, namely Gear 2 and Gear 3.

1. Marineford

Marineford

In One Piece, the Marineford Arc is the final arc before the time skips. It depicts many of the major characters from the One Piece universe, as well as a battle between the strongest man and the Navy.

It also revealed many secrets and would be remembered as “the war of the best.” This arc begins immediately after Luffy escapes Impel Down. When he is unable to save Ace, he travels to the marine ford.

At Marine Ford, the Navy fights Whitebeard, a Yonko of the sea in New World, with its large army, super-strong admirals, and warlords. Luffy also realised how insignificant he was in the face of these enormous powers.

This one-piece story arc depicts one of the saddest deaths, Ace’s death, as well as how it left Luffy broken. But, before his death, Whitebeard revealed to everyone how One Piece is real.

Conclusive Thoughts!

One Piece is a worldwide phenomenon that people adore. It’s not an anime, but rather an adventure. It has been on the air since its debut in 1999. Nobody knows how it will end, but it will definitely blow our minds and we will love it.

These were some of the few arcs from the One Piece storyline that I considered to be the best One-piece arcs. We chose them from among the more than a dozen arcs available in one Piece.

If you believe we should have included other arcs instead of these, please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
