Funny/Funniest Animated Movies List!
10. Monsters Inc.

The plot revolves around two friends who live in Monstropolis, a city in the monster world that uses children’s screams to power their world. Monsters Inc. is a factory that hires skilled monsters to be’scarers,’ scaring children in the human world and harnessing their screams.
Sulley and Mike, two friends, accidentally bring in a human child and soon discover that, despite their world’s labelling of human children as toxic, it’s their laughter that generates enormous amounts of power, a power far more wonderful than the agony of their screams.
Pixar Animation Studios created the film for Walt Disney Pictures in 2001. The film later became a franchise, with a prequel titled ‘Monsters University’ released in 2013 and a television series titled Monsters at Work premiering on the Disney+ platform. Among those who lend their voices to the film are John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, and Jennifer Tilly.
9. Finding Nemo

The clownfish Marlin and his son Nemo live in the coral reef. Nemo is captured by some curious humans on the day of a school excursion and taken to their home at P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. Driven by love and a strong desire to find his son, this father overcomes his fear of the unknown waters and travels a long distance across the ocean to reach Sydney. Marlin meets an uncanny companion in Dory while travelling.
The ocean is vast, and the two are only small fish daring the waters with their will and passion. To save Nemo, the clueless duo must seek all possible assistance and travel to the far-flung shores of Sydney.
Finding Nemo has remained a Pixar classic since its release by Disney in 2003, and Dory and her antiques are still fanned favorites. With ‘Finding Dory,’ developers have added another story into the mix, this time focusing on Dory, the blue tang fish released by Disney in 2016. Willem Dafoe, Albert Brooks, and Ellen DeGeneres all lend their voices to the film.
8. Ice Age

The ice age is regarded as one of the deadliest global disasters. Blue Sky Studios deserves credit for turning this into a nonstop laughter station. Manfred (Manny) the mammoth, Sid the ground sloth, and Diego the saber-toothed lion discover a human baby and must return it to their tribe.
On their mission to return the human child, the trio must put aside their differences and work together to overcome all obstacles. Among all of this, the saber-toothed squirrel Scrat, who is frequently seen trying to bury the one acorn he has found, steals the show.
Originally planned as a 2D animated film by Fox Animation Studios, the film received critical acclaim after its release by 20th Century Fox in 2002. Several features, short films, TV movies, and spin-off stories have been released by the franchise over the years.
The latest installment in the series will be released later this year. Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, and Denis Leary play the fantastic trio, with Jack Black and Alan Tudyk playing other characters.
7. The Secret Life of Pets

The film, a relatively new addition to the animated world, revolves around a solitary dog, Max, who is a devoted fan of his owner, Katie. When Katie brings home another pet, Duke, Max becomes envious, and they fight, ending up without collars and fleeing for their lives from an apparent underground committee of dejected pets led by a white bunny Snowball, who is hell-bent on retaliating against their masters and all humans in general.
The duo is on the run from the dejected gang, fearing they will be hunted for their strong devotion to their human owner. Meanwhile, Gidget, who is madly in love with Max, wanders the city in search of assistance in finding Max. The pets must go against all the dangers in the city and beyond (if need be) so that they may finally be reunited.
Illumination Entertainment created the film, which was released by Universal Pictures in 2016. The film was well received, and the creators felt compelled to create a sequel, which was released in 2019. The characters in this film are voiced by Kevin Hart, Eric Stonestreet, Albert Brooks, and Harrison Ford.
6. Hotel Transylvania

Count Dracula, the prince of darkness, now runs a high-end hotel in the middle of Transylvania’s wilderness. Hotel Transylvania’s staff is made up entirely of zombies, witches, and ghouls.
Dracula is adamant that no human enters the hotel, as the majority of the guests have been victims of human abuse throughout history. A clueless Johnny stumbles upon the hotel during the birthday celebrations for Mavis, Dracula’s daughter, and is ecstatic at the prospect of monsters in the world.
Dracula conceals Johnny by disguising him as a monster, but for how long will the monsters be duped? Are monsters and humans doomed to live in fear of one another forever?
Columbia Pictures produced the film in collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation, and it was released in 2012. The franchise has remained a favourite among fans of animated films, with two to three more films in the works, the most recent of which was released in 2022. These iconic characters have been voiced by talented artists such as Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, and many others.
5. Minions

The desire to serve can work wonders for everyone. The desire to serve the most dangerous criminal mind is a completely different matter. The minions are a race of yellow-skinned organisms that have evolved through time with the sole purpose of serving history’s greatest villains, but unfortunately for them, they have managed to kill all of the villains they have served—including a T-Rex, a pharaoh, and Count Dracula. Their repeated failures to serve the ultimate villain drives them into isolation, where they gradually lose sight of their life’s purpose.
Kevin, along with his two companions Stuart and Bob, must gather their courage and leave the isolated cave into the human world in order to reclaim their dignity and find the ultimate villain. Will they ever find their ultimate master in a world full of small-time punks and cowards?
The film, one of the wittiest in the Despicable Me franchise, was developed by Illumination Entertainment and released by Universal Pictures in 2015. The minions are still popular pop-culture characters today.
This film features the voices of Sandra Bullock, John Hamm, Michael Keaton, Steve Coogan, Hiroyuki Sanada, and the iconic Steve Carell as Gru.
4. Zootopia

The animals of the land once reorganized themselves and created the ultimate utopia for themselves, fed up with the natural cycle of predators and prey. Judy is a village bunny who aspires to be the best police officer in Zootopia, the most powerful city in the animal kingdom. Judy is duped by a street con artist, Nick Wilde, on her first day of work as a parking duty officer.
When Judy learns of a missing animal case, she decides to take it on and enlists the help of the astute fox Nick Wilde. Will good fortune intervene and save these two from the kidnappers? Will they be able to put a stop to this heinous crime?
The film premiered at the Brussels Animation Film Festival in 2016 and was developed by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Bonnie Hunt, J.K. Simmons, and the wonderful Shakira have provided voices for a few of the film’s many characters.
3. Boss Baby

Baby Corp provides the infants. The majority of them are assigned to families, but those who are unresponsive to tickling are sent to management, where they are given a special baby formula that allows them to think like adults.
Tim Templeton is a typical teenager who craves his parents’ attention, which he fears will become scarce once his parents adopt a new child. Ted, the baby, arrives dressed to the nines, complete with a suit, tie, and briefcase. The baby appears to be a normal infant in front of his parents, but in private he is a special baby from the Baby Corp’s management tier sent to investigate why the world’s love for babies is threatened by the love for puppies.
Tim learns about Ted, and they both agree that they should solve this mystery as soon as possible so that Ted can go his separate way. They discover that an ex-Baby Corp member, Francis, the current owner of the Puppy Co., has kept the baby pacifier and plans to use the special baby formula to create the Forever Puppy, which will take away the babies’ love and exact revenge on the Baby Corp for firing him.
Against all odds, the Templeton duo has been apprehended. Will Francis finally exact his vengeance on the Baby Corp? Will a lucky break save the world from eternal servitude to the Forever Puppy?

2. Shrek

Far away in the land of Duloc once lived a young dwarvish lord who disliked fairy-tale creatures. Farquaad, the lord, desired the fairest of all the princesses to marry and live happily ever after. He banished all magical creatures to a nearby swamp.
He had no idea that the swamp was home to a territorial and grumpy green ogre named Shrek, who enjoyed the solitude of the swamp. He was a recluse who saw his exile as an intrusion into his swamp. Except for an overly chatty donkey named Donkey, Shrek scares all of the creatures out of the swamp. Shrek arrives at Farquaad’s house and, in exchange for leaving him alone, is assigned the task of rescuing Princess Fiona, who is guarded by a Dragon. Shrek succeeds, and the two fall in love on their way back to Duloc.
Shrek, on the other hand, overhears Donkey and Fiona conversing and assumes he was referred to as a “ugly beast,” and decides to hand Fiona over to Farquaad. Fiona had grown to adore Shrek, and it was she who was cursed to transform into an ogress and fated to a true love’s kiss to break the curse. But, with the wedding preparations being completed so quickly, will Farquaad come between Fiona and Shrek’s love, or will they finally reunite and live happily ever after?
The film is based on William Steig’s early 1990s picture book of the same name. DreamWorks Animation created it, and DreamWorks Pictures released it in 2001. Some of the characters are voiced by Mike Myers, John Lithgow, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Antonio Banderas, and Dame Julie Andrews. Since then, the Shrek franchise has produced a plethora of films, including sequels and spin-offs.
1. Kung Fu Panda

A happy father and his son Po lived in ancient China, in the Valley of Peace. Po wished to join the Furious Five, the kung fu masters, and protect the people of the valley with their awesomeness. Oogway, the master of the Jade Palace, foresees a long-lost student Tai Lung returning to the valley and wreaking havoc on the people, so he organizes a tournament to find a Dragon Warrior, a master of kung fu who can fend off Tai Lung and protect the Valley of Peace.
Tai Lung was once a kung fu protege taken under Master Shifu’s wing and trained to be the Dragon Warrior, but Master Oogway decided against it after seeing the darkness in his heart, and Tai Lung revealed his true colors by attacking the masters. Po, eager to see the Furious Five in action, was assigned by his father, Mr. Ping, to sell noodles to spectators at the tournament.
Po was chosen as the next Dragon Warrior by Master Oogway by chance (as there are no accidents here) and began his training in the Jade Palace under the tutelage of Master Shifu. The other candidates, the Five, were irritated at first but grew to like the friendly Po. With Master Oogway’s untimely death, Master Shifu was left in charge of preparing the Dragon Warrior for the impending confrontation with Tai Lung.
Will Po ever be able to live up to his Master Shifu’s and the wise Oogway’s expectations as a Dragon Warrior? Will the kung fu nerd ever be able to fend off Tai Lung and fulfill his duty as the Dragon Warrior, with the fate of the valley in his hands?
